Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP)
Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) students examine the critical issues facing American education today from political, economic, cultural, social and managerial perspectives.
Ph.D. Program
The doctoral program builds upon the student's previous studies to develop a deeper understanding of the foundations needed for research and school leadership.
The program takes a three-part approach:
- A year-long set of course work
- In-depth studies in two or more areas of specialization
- Participation in college level teaching and dissertation research

Master's Program
ILPS graduate students are prepared for leadership positions in K-12, higher education, government and as researchers.
The 40-unit, 10-course program includes seven core courses and three electives.
A Preliminary Administrative Service Credential can be obtained by completing the School Leadership & Management program or the Policy Studies Reform specializations and required fieldwork.
