Education Specialist Credential Program
UC Riverside's Education Specialist Credential program is ideal for individuals who want to complete requirements for a California Education Specialist Instruction credential. As a student, you will study cutting-edge, research informed curricula that will prepare you to address the needs of all students in culturally responsive ways. By the end of program, you'll earn two credentials: mild/moderate and moderate/severe authorizations. The educational specialist credential-only program is a full-time post baccalaureate cohort program that begins in the summer quarter.
Program Overview
- Tuition approximately $18,120. Scholarships and financial aid available
- Field and practicum experiences completed at assigned school sites during the day
- Late afternoon and evening classes on UCR campus
Admissions Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
- A minimum 3.0 GPA based on the last 90 quarter units in the baccalaureate program
- Passage of Basic Skills and Subject Matter requirements
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official degree posted transcripts
