The GSOE Difference
Taking Southern California Education to the Next Level Through Great People, Passion, and Purpose
We’ve set a lofty mission for ourselves at the UCR Graduate School of Education. We expect nothing less than to shape extraordinary, transformative educational leaders who will serve not only our inland Southern California area, but also students and communities throughout California and the entire country.
We accomplish our goals by equipping our graduate students with the very best classroom instruction and research skills. These are gained while working in small classes held in state-of-the-art research facilities with faculty members who are respected thought leaders in the field of education.
Our inland Southern California communities, with their growing populations, diversity, and economic disparity, are the perfect living laboratories for groundbreaking study. Whatever your specific area of educational interest, you will find an abundance of opportunity to hone your research skills.
In addition, you will also benefit from a strong local network of UCR alumni mentors and a geographic area replete with growing school districts rich in education career opportunities for University of California, Riverside graduates.
Exceptional Master's and Doctoral Faculty
As a student in GSOE's master's, doctoral, or teacher credential programs, you will study with world-class faculty members that include three Spencer Fellows as well as nationally recognized experts in autism and learning disabilities. As impressive as their credentials, the faculty is first and foremost comprised of dedicated student mentors and excellent classroom educators who stay abreast of and develop the latest thinking and best practices in the education field. Few students anywhere have the opportunity to collaborate with educators of the caliber you will find on our GSOE faculty.
By the time you complete your degree, you will be ready to further your career as an outstanding teacher, committed advocate for education, and an innovative leader in our schools and communities.
