Congratulations to third-year school psychology doctoral student Nina Mandracchia who received the 2021 Trainers of School Psychologists (TSP) Graduate Student Scholarship. According to the awards notification letter, “TSP recognizes the value of graduate students to the mission of our organization and the field. This award is given to school psychology graduate students who are contributing to the advancement of our field by advancing their professional development.”
The award included a $100 cash prize to use in her educational pursuits and free registration to the 2021 TSP Conference that was held last month, where Nina was presented with the award.
Nina is GSOE’s school psychology program’s current California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) student representative, National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) student leader, and Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) chapter president. Her research interests include the effect of training on school psychology practice, educator/education professional training, and bridging the research to practice gap especially through professional development.
