Students get the best of both worlds at the School of Education (SOE). We have all the resources of a large public university, but the hands-on approach and sensibility of a small liberal arts college.  We are interested in you as a student as a person. The SOE fosters a culture of acceptance, inclusion, support, camaraderie while demanding excellence in and out of the classroom. Our faculty are experts in their field, and their goal is to develop a greater depth of understanding in their respective fields through research and student engagement.  That makes every relationship critical to the success of the SOE and the field in which we study.

As a student, you will have opportunities to become a peer advisor, student ambassador, teaching assistant, student assistant or fellow. Our concern is for the whole person, not just the student. We want you to surpass your own expectations academically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. The term we use is “serving” because we want each student to know that your success is our success and we are here to make sure you have the tools, resources and support you need to create your own version of success.
