Primary Major, Secondary Major or Minor
If you are interested in declaring a major or minor in the School of Education, please schedule a one-on-one appointment with the undergraduate advising office by the end of your junior year.
Education, Society, and Human Development (ESHD) works for you as either your primary or secondary major. It is the most manageable double major on campus plus it makes you more marketable. Education is a degree that translates to multiple career paths plus graduating with two majors looks great on your resume or your grad school application. It is very complimentary to other degree programs because it prepares you to teach, lead, manage, communicate and develop students, employees and teams.
Add an Education Minor to supplement your resume and grad school applications or pursue an Athletic Leadership Minor if you're interested in a career in sports administration, sports marketing, sports medicine, fitness, coaching and more.
NEW IN 2025! Now you can add a Summer Minor in Education by concentrating all your summer courses in Education. You can even pick the theme you prefer: Learning and Behavioral Studies; Higher Education, Equity, and Social Change; General Education; Athletic Leadership.
